I've got a 1990 maroon VX800 that I'm contemplating parting out, so I'm trying to get an idea of interest level for parts to see if it'd be worth my while. The bike has ~30k miles and has been sitting in my garage for the past year (it ran and pulled like a train before I stored it). I haven't tried to start it up since then as I'm pretty sure the battery's dead, and I've got another bike to keep me occupied. The bike is in good shape and bone stock with the exception of a black and maroon Corbin seat to compliment the paint (has a less than 1" tear along the bottom at the back where the material meets the seat pan), and sportier ace clubman handlebars. The forks need new seals and the rear right fairing has a small chip out of the very end, the gas tank I believe also has several really minor dings (one by the gas cap and one on the upper right side). I also have a black replacement rear right fairing in good condition that I was intending to paint and use as a replacement for the chipped one. Everything is up for grabs with the exception of the carbs and frame which are already spoken for. If you have any interest in the bigger ticket parts (for now just to get an idea of interest, if I do end up parting it out the smaller pieces will obviously also be fair game) please send me a message or post on the thread. Thanks

I would be interested in the left frame (rear) cover if it is affordable. Shipping would be to middle TN.

I chopped my VX a couple years ago, it came out great and I really enjoyed the bike. While I was painting the tank I noticed some rust in the lower end of the tank. Low and behold it rotted thru over the winter. The bike has been sitting since. I cannot for the life of me locate a tank for this bike priced high or low. I was plannig a ride cross country with a few friends at the end of august and I'm in a pinch if I don't get a tank by then. I you have a tank or know where I might find one it, any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm willing to pay cash and I also have various random parts from my chop that I would be happy to send along with the cash.
Thanks so much.

I need a gas cap assembly. I'm using a GSXR600 cap (modified)  and it doesn't seal as well as it needs to.

If your bike had a luggage rack and/or sissy bar, I would take them off of your hands.

I would be interested in the fuse box cover if it is intact.

Maybe the engine too, but its too soon to tell.

Cheers
