My VX800
« on: March 16, 2019, 04:00:58 PM »
1993. I added Clearwater LED driving lights that go to full power when bright light is activated. Also Evans Waterless coolant - never needs replacing. And a Shorai lithium battery - doesnít need a battery tender over the Minnesota winter.

I highly recommend all three.

I do have a small Suzuki rear rack that I bought and never mounted that Iíll sell when I get up to our cabin in May.

Honda CB77 305 then Honda CB 450 then Yamaha XS 750 then Yamaha 650 then VX800. I think the VX800 is my final ride...

Why did you decide not to mount that Suzuki rear rack, TPeterson? You just didn't like it at the end of the day or were there some technical difficulties?

Just saw this question. Rack was well made but a bit on the small side. Since I only travel alone and donít carry camping gear all I need to do is bungee a small duffel to the seat behind me. In some ways the best solution would be two hard saddlebags to keep the weight low but I just canít turn this nice bike into a bagger...
